Closing the 3rd week of 2023 please join us in welcoming Carlos Wafo, Associate Vice President - Sales ( Francophone Africa).
Carlos has over 12 years of experience in the banking and payments industries. He is a seasoned salesperson with great negotiation skills and network. He has worked for leading African banks such as BICEC and United Bank for Africa where he played a pivotal role in growing these institutions market share in Central Africa.
He is a member of a UN-sponsored advisory panel on digital financial services adoption and regulation in Central Africa. He has an extensive network within Banks, Central Banks, governments and local switches of the region.
Prior to joining WadzPay Carlos was the Head of Business Development- West & Central Africa for FSS.
He is a holder of two masters degrees in finance related fields. He also holds digital finance industry-related certifications from leading academic institutions such as Tufts University, Massachusetts and HEC Paris.
